It looks like there may be a science to stacking these unmistakably Parisian cafe tables and chairs.
Sidewalk cafes enrich the atmosphere of countless Parisian streets. Each one makes its own visual statement — a combination of architecture, color scheme, and chair selection. Here, the large windows and the I’m-not-sure-what-shade of blue add to the convivial allure.
This cafe certainly looks like a cozy refuge, its entry tucked inside that verdant archway. For me, Paris itself is a refuge. I end up immersed in beautiful parks, gardens and interiors, fascinating streets, art-stuffed museums, and book after gorgeous book in any number of shops. Although Paris is crowded with people and noisy traffic (love is deaf as well as blind?), corners of solitude and quiet are remarkably abundant — you just may need to endure some jostling on your way there.
